These mouthwateringly delicious cookies will make your day. Complete with oats, chocolate and a touch of homemade magic, these biscuits are perfect for families searching a quick, easy and mess-free recipe!

Ingredients:
- 115g unsalted butter
- 115g brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar, or a tsp of vanilla essence
- 150g flour
- ½ sachet raising powder
- 75g oats
- 50g chocolate chips
Basic Cooking Information:
g – grams
Tsp – teaspoon
Tbsp – tablespoon
Cream – combine together to create a creamy paste
Fold – mix in a substance without stirring, by curling the spoon around the food.

Collect together your ingredients. Weigh them all out beforehand. Then, put all the packets away.

Preheat the oven to 190°C or 170°C fan oven.

Cut out greaseproof paper, and place on two baking trays. Put the greaseproof paper and scissors away.

Cream the butter with the sugar in a large bowl, until pale and fluffy.

Add the egg.

Add the vanilla sugar, and beat well.

Weigh the flour, and then sieve into your bowl.

Fold in the flour carefully with a wooden spoon.

Add the oats, then fold them in.

Finally, add the chocolate chips, (don’t eat too many!!

Place small spoonfuls of the mixture in 18-20 rocky heaps, on the prepared baking sheets, leaving plenty of room for the cookies to spread.

Bake for 15-20 minutes, until beginning to turn pale golden.

Cool for 2-3 minutes on the baking trays before moving to wire racks to cool completely. That is if you haven’t eaten them yet!
