Camping and Campfires
This Month’s badge: Camping and Campfires is a fun but complicated badge that requires a level of skill and experience. This is one of the harder badges but it is still achievable so you should definitely give it a go. To build a campground (a place with a fire and a tent) you will need a good flat surface, out of the wind, a tent, some wood, matches, some pots and a lot of other camping stuff such as a sleeping bag and ground mat. Your campground should be in an accessible place near a water source and out of the wind. Your tent should be waterproof and don’t forget to put a bucket of water near you fire in case it gets out of hand! You should have a wood supply near your tent in case you need any wood.
Cooking
Taking a tray of freshly baked cookies out of the oven, or presenting your intricately iced cupcakes to your parents guests, these are some of the great skills you will learn by doing the M.A. Cooking badge. This badge will help you cook tasty treats, (and healthy meals) for all your family! You will need to describe a healthy meal, and bake some recipes from famous cooks. And of course, because this is Mountain Academy, you will need to try out some of the recipes for campfire meals!

Snow can be fun. Sports can be fun. So, when you combine them, you get REALLY FUN! Our Mountain Academy badge will help you experience the Winter Sport fun feeling with our exciting activities.
